Registry of Companies and Deeds On-line

New Service Announcement

The Department of Government Services wishes to inform clients of the Registry of Companies that new on-line electronic services are now available.

The Companies and Deeds On-line (CADO) Internet system provides for the registration of companies and the filing of certain forms on-line, as well as enabling basic searches of the Registry of Deeds and Companies from any computer. More indepth information pertaining to deeds is available by visiting the registry in person.

Local Companies

The Companies and Deeds On-line (CADO) Internet system enables users to file Articles of Incorporation for local companies. Also, for local companies that are in Good Standing, users can file the following forms:

  • Annual Return
  • Notice of Directors
  • Notice of Registered Office
  • Name Reservation

Extra-provincial Companies

For Extra-provincial companies that are in Good Standing, users can file the following documents:

  • Annual Return
  • Notice of Registered Office in NL
  • Name Reservation

Other Services

Certificates of Good Standing for companies registered with the Registry of Companies are also obtainable on-line.

Additionally, clients can perform basic searches of the Registry of Companies from their home or office at no cost.

Accessibility

As part of government's commitment of making services more accessible and more convenient, the above services are available 7 days a week, 24 hours a day except for scheduled maintenance outages.

Secure Payments and System Requirements

Each of these services are available through a user-friendly web interface and can be paid on-line, where applicable, via Visa or MasterCard through a secure payment system.

To enable confidentiality and security, Government will not conduct a transaction with a customer unless their Internet browser (such as Netscape Navigator or Microsoft Internet Explorer) has at least a 128-bit level of encryption.
