Examination RequirementAn individual applying for a Real Estate Salesperson's licence must write and successfully complete the Real Estate Salesperson's examination. There is no examination requirement for a Real Estate Restricted Salesperson's licence. The registration fee for a salesperson's examination is $25.00. Examinations are written on scheduled dates at the following centers:
Examinations can be arranged in other areas of the Province on request. Contact the Financial Services Regulation Division for further information. Surety BondA surety bond (PDF: 31 KB) issued under the Real Estate Trading Act in the amount of $5,000 is required. Agency EndorsementApplication for licence must be authorized by a licenced Real Estate Agent or Restricted Agent. Licence FeesThe licence fee for a Real Estate Salesperson's or Restricted Salesperson's licence is $100.00. Cheques are made payable to the Newfoundland Exchequer Account. Licence TermLicences issued under the Real Estate Trading Act remain in effect subject to the filing of annual reports and payment of an annual fee as prescribed by the Minister, until it is withdrawn by the registered person or is suspended or cancelled under the Act. The annual filing due date is the last day of the month twelve (12) months from the effective date of the original licence. ApplicationApplications can be mailed to this division's head office. |
