Commercial Registrations Division

Services

• Registry of Deeds - registration of documents and the provision of information in relation to real property (land title) transactions in the province
• Registry of Companies - creation of locally incorporated business and organizations (those with or without share capital) & extra-provincially registers corporations from other jurisdictions. Registers corporate documents and ensures compliance as required under the Corporations Act. Provides mechanisms for amalgamations, dissolutions and cancellations
• Registry of Mechanics Liens - where individuals, who have provided a service or materials in relation to property with a mechanism to give notice that they have an interest in a particular property for services/ materials rendered
• Registry of Condominiums - registration and regulation of condominium corporations
• Registry of Co-operatives - creation of locally incorporated co-operatives & extra-provincially registered co-operatives from other jurisdictions. Registers co-op documents and ensures compliance as required under the Co-operatives Act. Provides mechanisms for amalgamations, dissolutions and cancellations
• Personal Property Registry - registrations of electronic filing of notice and the searching of interests regarding transactions relating to personal property (autos, boats, etc.)
• Registry of Lobbyists - provision of registration services for those paid individuals (consultant lobbyists and in-house lobbyists) required to register as defined in the Lobbyist Registration Act
• Registry of Limited Partnerships - registration and amendments of limited partners as defined under the Limited Partnership Act
• Registry of Limited Liability Partnerships - for registration and amendments of limited liability partnerships as defined under the amended Partnership Act
