Obtaining a Record

A copy of your driving record (driver's abstract) may be obtained in person, by mail or fax from any Motor Registration Office in the province.

Required Information:

1. Surname and given name(s)
2. Driver's licence number or date of birth
3. Postal address or fax number (with area code) where you would like the driver's abstract returned.
4. Any person requesting a driver's record for another individual must have written permission in order for the record to be processed.

Fee : $10.00

Method of Payment

Mail: Cheque or money order made payable to the Newfoundland Exchequer
Facsimile: Visa or Master Card. Include card number, expiry date by month and year, authorization to deduct fees from credit card and signature of card holder.

You must pay in advance to receive copies of your driver record. Please note that your request must be submitted to us in writing, we cannot accept requests via telephone.
